April 2026
This April, students explored the wonders of the natural world through our monthly theme of "Trees," learning about their characteristics, life cycles, and the many creatures that call them home. Hands-on activities in English, Chinese, and math nurtured foundational skills, while neighborhood walks, garden visits, and lively outdoor play deepened our connection to the world around us. We also celebrated a festive Easter Egg Hunt and embraced Earth Day with meaningful projects that inspired students to care for our planet through small, thoughtful actions every day!

March 2026
This March, students embraced the wonders of spring through our monthly theme, observing nature's transformations on neighborhood walks and bringing the season to life with blossoming tree paintings, flower baskets, and coffee filter art projects. Hands-on activities in English and Chinese built language and early literacy skills, while soccer, yoga, and lively outdoor play nurtured coordination and teamwork. We also came together to celebrate the Lantern Festival and St. Patrick's Day this month, and we look forward to April's study of "Trees" and our annual Easter Egg Hunt!

February 2026
This February at Tiger Cub Immersion School, students explored the theme of "Friendship" through engaging stories, creative crafts, and collaborative play, learning what it means to be a good friend. Festivities for Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year brought cultural learning to life, while our annual Chinese New Year celebration united families in joyful community spirit. As we look ahead to March, we're eager for new beginnings and fresh adventures with the arrival of spring!

January 2026
This January, Tiger Cub Immersion School embraced the theme of "Clothes" with hands-on projects, creative discussions, and stories that sparked curiosity about how garments are made and why we wear them. Additionally, students developed foundational skills by practicing writing in English and Chinese, exploring numbers and patterns, and strengthening fine motor abilities through interactive activities like weaving, buttoning, and threading. The month was further enriched by celebrating the Laba Festival, where students learned about its traditions and created their own laba zhou.

December 2025
This December, students explored the wonders of "Winter" with creative projects like crafting snowflakes, designing winter clothing, and decorating festive ornaments. Academic growth flourished through learning to write Chinese characters, practicing math skills, and building confidence with hands-on activities. Students learned about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, celebrating the season's rich traditions through stories and crafts. Our annual Holiday Party brought families together in joyful celebration, and we look forward to new adventures in the coming year!

November 2025
November at Tiger Cub Immersion School was filled with autumnal wonder as students explored the season through vibrant crafts, outdoor adventures, and festive celebrations. The "Autumn" theme inspired hands-on activities, creative projects with leaves and colors, and meaningful group discussions. Academically, students strengthened their language, math, and practical life skills, while Thanksgiving traditions offered opportunities to reflect on gratitude and togetherness. We are especially thankful to our TCIS families for sharing in the joy of our Thanksgiving Potluck, and look forward to new discoveries in December!

October 2025
This October, students at Tiger Cub Immersion School explored the theme of "Community Helpers and Our Neighborhood" through creative projects, dramatic play, and engaging stories. Academic growth was nurtured throughout the month, while cultural traditions were celebrated with crafts and tales for the Mid-Autumn and Double Ninth Festivals. Our annual Halloween Parade and Trick-or-Treat event brought the whole school together for festive fun, thanks to the generous support of our families!

September 2025
This September, students celebrated individuality through our monthly theme of "All About Me," expressing themselves with creative art projects and stories that encouraged them to talk about their feelings and their differences. Hands-on activities in English, Chinese, and math fostered foundational skills, while practical life lessons and lively outdoor play helped to nurture coordination and teamwork. We also cherished time with families at Back-to-School Night and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
