This January, Tiger Cub Immersion School embraced the theme of "Clothes" with hands-on projects, creative discussions, and stories that sparked curiosity about how garments are made and why we wear them. Additionally, students developed foundational skills by practicing writing in English and Chinese, exploring numbers and patterns, and strengthening fine motor abilities through interactive activities like weaving, buttoning, and threading. The month was further enriched by celebrating the Laba Festival, where students learned about its traditions and created their own laba zhou.
This December, students explored the wonders of "Winter" with creative projects like crafting snowflakes, designing winter clothing, and decorating festive ornaments. Academic growth flourished through learning to write Chinese characters, practicing math skills, and building confidence with hands-on activities. Students learned about Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, celebrating the season's rich traditions through stories and crafts. Our annual Holiday Party brought families together in joyful celebration, and we look forward to new adventures in the coming year!
November at Tiger Cub Immersion School was filled with autumnal wonder as students explored the season through vibrant crafts, outdoor adventures, and festive celebrations. The "Autumn" theme inspired hands-on activities, creative projects with leaves and colors, and meaningful group discussions. Academically, students strengthened their language, math, and practical life skills, while Thanksgiving traditions offered opportunities to reflect on gratitude and togetherness. We are especially thankful to our TCIS families for sharing in the joy of our Thanksgiving Potluck, and look forward to new discoveries in December!
