June at Tiger Cub Immersion School was a month of excitement, creativity, and memorable celebrations as we delved into the final weeks of school, bringing a year of engaging activities, heartfelt moments, and meaningful learning opportunities to a joyful conclusion.
Our monthly theme of “Transportation” inspired students to explore the fascinating world of vehicles that travel on land, in the air, and on water. Students crafted boats, airplanes, and hot air balloons, each more imaginative than the last. They sorted different modes of transportation by their travel medium and matched vehicles to their silhouettes in creative games. In addition, students made license plates and experimented with propulsion by flying paper airplanes using straws. These hands-on activities encouraged curiosity and creativity while sparking discussions about how transportation connects people and places.
Throughout the month, students continued their academic growth with engaging lessons and stories. Students practiced Chinese characters such as 坐 (sit), 机 (machine), 车 (vehicle), 自 (self), and 去 (go) while reading “I Go To School.” English-language stories such as “Go Dog Go!” and “Traffic Lights are Winking” complemented their learning, as students explored traffic rules and the importance of road safety through interactive activities. They matched various road signs to their meanings, crafted their own miniature signs, and participated in games like “Red Light, Green Light,” which combined fun with valuable safety lessons.
We ended the school year with our highly anticipated End-of-Year Celebration on June 13. Families gathered on the playground to watch performances by our wonderful students and to celebrate the graduation of those promoted to Kindergarten. The event was filled with laughter, applause, and cherished memories as students showcased all that they have learned throughout this year. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this special occasion—it was truly a day to remember.
As the school year comes to a close, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents and families who have been an integral part of our school community. Your support and trust have been instrumental in making this year a success. As we look ahead to summer and beyond, we hope you enjoy a safe, restful, and joyous break. Thank you for being part of the Tiger Cub Immersion School family—we can’t wait to welcome you back for another amazing year!
