Welcome to our final week of summer camp!
This week, we celebrated “Camp Carnival,” learning about carnivals and circuses and exploring a variety of carnival games, including ring toss and bowling, as well as classic rides such as the Ferris Wheel and carousel.
We read Dr. Seuss’ “If I Ran The Circus,” to learn more about the extravagant performances and spectacular sights found at a circus, and we crafted our own clowns, paper carousels, and popcorn buckets. We also designed paper German wheels and tested them out to explore how acrobats can roll and move inside them. In addition to our circus-themed activities, we celebrated the end of camp by making friendship bracelets, summer crowns, and other crafts.
For our cooking activity, we made lemonade ice pops! We squeezed lemon wedges into cups to collect the juice, mixed it with sugar and water, and poured the mixture into molds before freezing them overnight. Once the ice pops were ready, we took them home to enjoy as a refreshing end-of-summer treat!
Thank you for a fantastic summer with so many wonderful memories! We had a blast together with all of our campers and wish everyone the very best in the upcoming school year and beyond.
Just a reminder for our returning families, TCIS will be closed from August 24-28, 2026 for staff development. We look forward to welcoming you back on the first day of school, Monday, August 31, 2026. See you then!
